Mark Oakley focuses on foreign direct investment into Southeast Asia. Before coming to Vietnam, Mark worked in London, Singapore and the Middle East and advised multinational clients on various international transactions involving banking, structured finance, M&A, joint ventures, acquisition finance and commercial agreements.
・ Cross-border Bilateral Facility - Represented founding shareholders of a Vietnam-based health & fitness chain on US$15 million credit line financed by a Singapore-based private equity firm.
・ Acquisition of Beverage Company - Represented SGX listed buyer on acquisition of dairy company.
・ Disposal of Listed Beverage Company - Represented majority shareholders on the part disposal of HOSE listed beverage business.
・ Relocation of US manufacturing operation - Represented US a company on relocation of its manufacturing operations to industrial zone close to HCMC, Vietnam.
・ Relocation of Spanish manufacturing operation – Represented Spanish manufacturing company relocate manufacturing operations to My Phuoc industrial zone.
・ Disposal of International Pet Food Business – Represented AIM listed Plc on sale of its international pet food division.
・ Disposal of Mining Business - Represented for German MNC on disposal of UK mining operations.
・ Biodiesel Joint Venture - Represented Austrian Biodiesel technology provider in joint venture with the largest engineering companies in Singapore and Malaysia. Represented the client during negotiations and prepared all documentation.
・ Automotive Joint Venture - Represented German MNC on contractual Joint Venture with Korean MNC in automotive sector.
・ Telecoms - Advised Telco on all telecoms, and non-telecoms specific, commercial agreements including backbone agreements, roaming agreements and co-location agreements. In addition advised on regulatory interface with regulator (TRA) and advised on asymmetry and mobile number portability.
・ Cross Border Bilateral Loan Facility - Part of team advising Luxembourg based Borrower on Euro 30 million Facility.
・ Cross Border Syndicated Loan Facility – part of team advising Borrower on Euro 400 million.
