Profile and Expertise
Ms. Veeraya Wongwatjanakul obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand. Her primary areas of interest include business law and intellectual property.
She began her career as an intellectual property lawyer and has over 4 years of experience in the field, advising clients on the protection of their intellectual property rights, with a particular focus on trademarks.
Prior to joining One Asia Lawyers, she worked at an international intellectual property law firm, where she handled all stages of trademark prosecution in Thailand. Her experience covers both domestic and international trademark matters, including conducting trademark searches, reviewing and analyzing marks prior to filing, filing applications, and handling assignments and renewals.
She is also experienced in managing opposition and counterstatement proceedings, cancellations, and appeals. In addition, she analyzes office actions and provides legal advice in response to objections raised by trademark examiners, as well as handling other trademark-related matters.

● Provided legal advice to clients on intellectual property matters.
● Summarized legal cases and updated notifications and regulations from the Thai Intellectual Property Office.
● Conducted legal research on regulations, laws, and articles to support reports, casework, and general legal advice.
● Monitored and managed client trademark matter cases, both domestic and international.
● Reviewed and analyzed client’s trademark and/or copyright work, trademark registration and/or copyright recordation applications and supporting documents for protection in Thailand.
● Conducting and reporting trademark similarity search before filing.
● Reporting and analyzing the office action issued by the Thai Trademark Office and providing legal advice in response to trademark objections.
● Preparing and filing appeals, cancellation petitions, oppositions, and counterstatements submitted to the Thai Trademark Registrar and Board.
● Coordinated with officers from the Thai Central Investigation Bureau and the Department of Special Investigation regarding counterfeit products, and reported findings to clients.
● Assisted senior lawyers and partners in the investigation of suspected counterfeit products in Thailand.
