Vacancy for a Korean-Qualified Lawyer (Tokyo Office)
We are currently seeking a lawyer qualified in Korean law to join our firm.
- Position:
- Experienced Lawyer (Korean Law)
*Applicants must hold a Korean legal qualification. - Location:
- Tokyo *Negotiable
- Role Overview:
- Providing advice primarily on cross-border Japan–Korea matters for Japanese and Korean companies, as well as Korean companies’ inbound investment into Japan.
- Practice Areas:
- General corporate law, dispute resolution, M&A, business succession, inheritance, real estate, finance, employment law, intellectual property, start-up support, general civil matters, Asia-related matters, and more.
- Requirements:
- · Strong legal analytical thinking, legal research, drafting, and learning abilities.
· Working proficiency in English. (Japanese language skills are a plus.)
· Approximately 2–5 years of post-qualification experience.
· Experience at a law firm or in-house legal team in Japan is advantageous.
· A positive attitude, strong communication skills, diligence, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - Salary:

We are currently seeking lawyers and paralegals to work in our Tokyo office.
- Qualifications:
- Practicing lawyer, law graduates or those with experience working in the legal sector. A practicing license, while beneficial, is not a pre-requisite.

Internship Program for Law Students
(Partially for Experienced Professionals)
One Asia Lawyers’ internship program provides an opportunity for aspiring lawyers to gain practical work experience working alongside experienced lawyers. We take interns in our Tokyo office and in various offices in the ASEAN region. Supervised by their assigned lawyer, interns gain experience in researching case law, legislative reform, writing memorandums and assisting with the creation of contracts. There are also opportunities to attend seminars and workshops conducted by our offices.

*Internships in Thailand, Vietnam, and India are exclusively for experienced professionals with potential recruitment in mind.
**We generally do not accept internships in Japan. However, if you wish to pursue an internship in Japan, business-level Japanese proficiency ((equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher) or a background in Japanese law is required. - Duration:
- From one week to two months; depends on circumstances in our offices, individual preferences, and visa situations.
