Profile and Expertise

While working in a Japanese law firm that handles corporate legal affairs and litigation for clients such as non-life insurance companies and consumer credit companies, he also actively provided legal support for venture companies.

As part of his work on non-life insurance cases, he also dealt with a large number of medical malpractice cases from the medical side, working closely with doctors. He played a role in carefully bridging the gap that arises between the medical frontline and legal affairs, and deepened his understanding of the structure of medical care and the decision-making process.

After that, he completed a law school at the University of Southern California in the United States and was admitted to the New York State Bar.

To support the overseas expansion of Japanese companies, he relocated his practice to Singapore.

In Singapore, he was a member of the Japan Desk at a local law firm, and for two years he was in charge of providing legal advice and practical support to Japanese clients. He is currently a member of One Asia Lawyers, and he is responding to a variety of needs, such as supporting the expansion of businesses into Singapore and other ASEAN countries, legal risk management, dispute resolution, and support for the establishment of internal reporting systems.

In particular, in recent years, he has focused on the medical, AI and health tech fields, providing legal support rooted in practical experience, such as HSA regulatory compliance, data protection (PDPA) and the development of contracts and systems for AI products.

He combines his on-the-ground experience gained from supporting Japanese ventures, his real-world experience in the medical field, and his knowledge gained from studying abroad and working in other countries, and acts as a partner who is by the client's side in their “strategic overseas expansion”.
