• Craig Cothill brings to Alsuwaidi & Company his experience in contentious and non-contentious matters. He started his career as a disputes lawyer gaining experience in real estate, construction, interpretation of contracts, banking, and insurance disputes. Craig is also an arbitrator in sports law disputes relating to doping violations and has chaired many tribunals in disciplinary matters brought against chartered accountants. He has represented professional sportsmen in disciplinary complaints. He has represented a wide variety of corporate clients in arbitrations and is often advising on enforcing arbitral awards. Craig has advised on strategies in arbitrations before the ICC.
  
  He has gained non contentious international experience by consulting for an international engineering company with corporate and commercial interests in multiple jurisdictions including Australia, Canada, and Germany. To enhance his career as an international lawyer, Craig has joined Alsuwaidi & Company at its Abu Dhabi office where he is working with clients in disputes within the ADGM and Civil Courts. He is also advising an Islamic bank on claims it has in the DIFC.
