Farhatun Najad Zulkipli is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in both in-house and private practice. She is qualified to practice law in Malaysia and is currently enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.

With a strong background in commercial and corporate advisory, employment matters, real estate disposal and acquisition, and technology-based contract negotiation, Ms. Zulkipli brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her current role at One Asia Lawyers.

Her practice is focused primarily on general corporate matters, including structuring and handling cross-border transactions involving joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, business transfers, and restructuring of share capital, foreign investments, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. She also advises on employment and industrial law-related matters.

Ms. Zulkipli has a proven track record of advising foreign clients from various industries, such as manufacturing, mechanical and electrical engineering, infrastructure, real estate, food and beverage, and consumer products, among others. She has a deep understanding of the complex legal risks, issues, and gaps that clients may face when looking to engage in business or establish operations in Malaysia, or strengthen their existing position in the jurisdiction.

  • Advised and assisted in the restructuring and business transfer of Malaysian subsidiaries, majority-owned by a renowned Japanese automotive company.
  • Advised and assisted in a successful capital restructuring of a Malaysian private company wholly-owned by a Japanese conglomerate.
  • Advised on employment-related matters including conducting Domestic Inquiry processes, issues related to misconducts, establishment of robust employment frameworks and other related matters.
  • Provided legal advice for a cross-border property transaction involving the disposal of an industrial land in Malaysia worth RM95 million.
  • Managed the registration of trademarks for renowned Japanese food brands in the Malaysian Intellectual Property Corporation (MyIPO).
