Farhatun Najad Zulkipli is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in both in-house and private practice. She is qualified to practice law in Malaysia and is currently enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
With a strong background in commercial and corporate advisory, employment matters, real estate disposal and acquisition, and technology-based contract negotiation, Ms. Zulkipli brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her current role at One Asia Lawyers.
Her practice is focused primarily on general corporate matters, including structuring and handling cross-border transactions involving joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, business transfers, and restructuring of share capital, foreign investments, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. She also advises on employment and industrial law-related matters.
Ms. Zulkipli has a proven track record of advising foreign clients from various industries, such as manufacturing, mechanical and electrical engineering, infrastructure, real estate, food and beverage, and consumer products, among others. • Advised and assisted in the restructuring and business transfer of Malaysian subsidiaries, majority-owned by a renowned Japanese automotive company.
• Advised and assisted in a successful capital restructuring of a Malaysian private company wholly-owned by a Japanese conglomerate.
• Advised on employment-related matters including conducting Domestic Inquiry processes, issues related to misconducts, establishment of robust employment frameworks and other related matters.
• Provided legal advice for a cross-border property transaction involving the disposal of an industrial land in Malaysia worth RM95 million.
• Managed the registration of trademarks for renowned Japanese food brands in the Malaysian Intellectual Property Corporation (MyIPO).
• Advised on the establishment and implementation of internal compliance frameworks, including the development of company policies in accordance with laws on Personal Data Protection, Anti-bribery and Corruption, Whistleblowing, and more.-
